Pause in the rain but that's not all. A return to storms with some kick in the forecast.
We are getting a break in the rain this afternoon with a small chance for early evening showers. All severe weather has long cleared. The lull in the rain should give way to a potentially severe weather event early Wednesday morning south of Jacksonville. We will watch if storms develop off the Gulf in the pre-dawn hours and track across areas south of I-10. Heavy rain and isolated tornadoes are possible during the early morning hours through 10 am, bringing the best chance for severe weather on Wednesday. Then that's it for the rain as a cold front will shift south ushering in drier air during the afternoon and evening.
Thursday stays warm and dry before the rains return Friday.
