We just had our last rain for days. Meteorologist Mark Collins sees much hotter days ahead
Weak showers pushing west will fade quickly this evening with cloudy skies turning mostly clear overnight. Lows will drop to the 60s inland and near 70 along the coast. Fog could develop towards sunrise with locally dense conditions over inland areas, mainly along the I-10 corridor northward across inland Georgia.
Tomorrow marks a turn to dry conditions and a warmer afternoon in the mid to upper 80s. Then heat builds through the end of the week reaching the mid-90s.
The promise for significant rain or thunderstorms is slim beyond a slight weekend chance of afternoon and evening showers.
Otherwise, the pattern looks rather dry and hot through Memorial Day.
